Marble Hill is set in 66 acres of outstandingly beautiful riverside parkland, and is the last Palladian villa which bordered the Thames between Richmond and Hampton Court in the 18th century.
Every Monday 1930 – 2100 this summer 23 July – 20 August, Chris James will take you on a spiritual journey from the outer body to the inner core: Be prepared to engage in a physical practice, with twists to stimulate digestion and peristalsis, backbends for bioelectric network stimulation, and inversions for lymphatic drainage. Our practice is breath focused and designed to energise mind and body for the week ahead. The practice will end with a deep relaxation.
We shall meet outside the house at 725pm and make the most of our warm summer evenings together.* Our practice will start at 730pm.
Marble Hill was built for the remarkable Henrietta Howard, mistress of King George II when he was Prince of Wales, and friend and confidante of some of the cleverest men in England. The house and gardens were intended as an Arcadian retreat from crowded 18th-century London. There can be few places in England which better recall the atmosphere of fashionable Georgian life.
