While it is important to enjoy periods of abundance, (thank goodness it is possible to do so for a limited time only), sooner or later we are going to have to strap ourselves back in.

 

Fortunately, there is a quick, easy, and effective way to do this, and that is with the “3R” Cleanse, a 3-day programme that helps to gently re-metabolise and heals the gut.

Serves: 4

Cooking time: 40 minutes

Preparation time: 10 minutes

 

 

Ingredients:

 

1tbsp coconut oil, olive oil

2 crushed garlic cloves

1 roughly chopped onion

2 large sliced celery sticks

4 sliced medium-large carrots

200g red split lentils

 

Heat the oil in a large pan and sweat the garlic and onion for a few minutes to soften.

Add the celery, carrots, lentils, stir, cover with water and bring to the boil.

Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

Blend to your desired consistency.

    Hi! I’ve never done a cleanse programme before. I am in good health, fortunately, but I would like to detox my body after festivities. I would like something easy to follow because I’m quite busy and I never have time. Can you tell me if this programme is right to me? How many times per year do I need to do it? Many Thanks X

      Hi Stephanie, it sounds like 3R could work for you, Try it once and see how you feel.. We recommend doing 3R every month if you are bloated and suffer from constipation. If you are a healthy person completing 6 x 3R cleanses every year should work, in conjunction with 3- 4 x 12Days cleanses. Let us know how you get on xx
